The day was a typical festival day.  Band rehearsals were more intense as we started to actually work on pieces, but this also made it more tiring.  The mini concert was another vocal concert.  This time by a barbershop quartet which included one Moravian, Ted Leinbach, who just happens to be the Treasurer of the Moravian Church in America, Southern Province.  This was a very enjoyable and entertaining concert.

Our group went to three different workshops in the afternoon.  The brass players attended the workshop on brass techiques, presented by Jeff Whitsett.  The woodwind players attended the workshop on woodwind techiques, presented by Marie Hines.  The non playing members attended the workshop on Music Around the World, where Tyrone spoke on Moravian Music in South Africa.

The evening concert was an organ recital by Rebecca Kleintop Owens who gave a wonderful performance.  She is also the festival organist.  Alexander spend the evening playing old Moravian Sonatas with a select trombone quartet, consisting of Richard Scranton on soprano, Donna Rothrock on alto, Ron Raymond on tenor and Alex on bass.  After that it was social time once more.
